Hi 👋 Welcome to EventsDG.

I’m Sarah-Jane - I’ve been organising, delivering and managing events for 15 years, amongst other digital and creative endeavours. I’ve created EventsDG because I personally really struggled to find events locally when I moved here. And there’s SO MUCH that goes on in the region! I thought this was a problem worth delving into.

EventsDG was created to solve a problem; connecting people with the information they actually want.

In an age where information is freely available the challenge becomes wading through it all to find what's relevant for you. None of us want to spend more time on screens, but we're seeing technology platforms monopolising the market, prioritising profit over purpose and using algorithms to advertise and make money from your attention and wanting to keep you online.

EventsDG is a technology platform being built with the local community it serves to ensure it's relevant and built for value and purpose, not profit. We want you to find the information you want quickly and easily so you can go out and connect with others, be part of the (IRL) community and feel better and connected to the world!

EventsDG matches events and cultural activity directly with people seeking this activity. We build the audiences for organisations to tap into so they can spend their time focused on delivery, engagement and outcomes. Why should every organisation use their budget for marketing and promotion of their activity to reach the same people as the organisation next door? Let's work together to reach people.

For organisations and venues

Free listings: Free to list your events and venue information on our site. Our platform is data-based so the information is more visible on the internet and not hidden on a social media page that only reaches the followers.

Reaching audiences: Audiences are a combination of place-based and individual interests. We are building audiences across these and matching them with activity they tell us they want. Your event will go straight to the people who want to see it.

One time data-entry: We don't want you to enter your event information more than once. We connect with ticketing platforms* so you don't have to do the dreaded copy and pasting. Use the API for your ticketing platform and your event information will come through to EventsDG.

For event seekers (individuals looking for events)

Free to browse: Free to browse, filter and search through an events directory to find the information you want.

Save events: No more missing events or searching through social media to find the event you saw last week. Use our calendar function to save events straight to your calendar.

Stay up-to-date: Sign up for an account and follow your favourite organisations, no more several newsletters of different organisations to stay engaged.

Personalisation: Sign up for an account, set your preferences, and get a personalised directory of events tailored to you, every time you visit. You can also choose to receive a personalised newsletter of events based on your location, interests and event types direct to your inbox every week.
