Hi 👋 Welcome to EventsDG.
I’m Sarah-Jane - I’ve been organising, delivering and managing events for 15 years and love a good event! I’ve created EventsDG because I really struggle to find events locally that are of interest to me, nearby and in enough time. And there’s SO MUCH that goes on in the region! It’s a shame that people miss events that they’d like to go to due to poor promotion.
EventsDG aims to plug that gap. We are starting out as an events directory but aim to become a vital service for event organisers and event seekers.
Although there are other websites that list events, and lots of Facebook groups it’s still a challenge to find relevant events before they happen. Why join loads of Facebook groups and get lots of other content you don’t want, and not the content you want at the right time, when you could simply visit EventsDG and see what’s happening, where and when. We’ve created a simple, easy to use events directory that is free. We won’t use advertising to promote some events over others as we’re aware that not all events have budgets for marketing and promotion, and because we’re using up-to-date technology our costs are low.
Our mission is to drive people to our site to see your event! So you can get on with the business of running your event knowing that your audience can find you easily here at EventsDG. We want to work with event organisers, event seekers, and venues to create an events marketplace that provides value, and be more than just a site of information.
If you’re an event organiser or venue, and want to tell us what would be useful for you, this could be about promoting your event or finding venues, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you! If you’re an event seeker, I’d love to know what challenges you have in finding events locally and what you think would help solve this. Please do get in touch.
I hope to see you at an event soon!
I always welcome feedback, so book some time with me and tell me what could be better.
I am doing this in my spare time. If you’d like to support me while I build this, then buy me a coffee…
