Hi 👋 Welcome to EventsDG.

I’m Sarah-Jane - I’ve been organising, delivering and managing events for 15 years, amongst other digital and creative endeavours. I’ve created EventsDG because I personally really struggled to find events locally when I moved here. And there’s SO MUCH that goes on in the region! I thought this was a problem worth delving into.

EventsDG was created to solve a problem; connecting people with the information they actually want.

In an age where information is freely available the challenge becomes wading through it all to find what's relevant for you. None of us want to spend more time on screens, but we're seeing technology platforms monopolising the market, prioritising profit over purpose and using algorithms to advertise and make money from your attention and wanting to keep you online. As well as organisations and platforms working in silos, we want to work in partnership and collaboratively.

EventsDG is a technology platform being built with the local community it serves to ensure it's relevant and built for value and purpose, not profit.
