Join the GSA Biosphere team and invited speakers for a day of learning and sharing with fellow members of the Proud Supporter network.
Proud Supporters of the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere are warmly invited to Old School Thornhill on Wednesday 29th July for our 2026 networker on the theme 'Biosphere Connections'.
Our agenda includes presentations from invited speakers who will be sharing their motivations and experiences living, working, and getting involved in community development, heritage projects, and local enterprise across the GSA UNESCO Biosphere.
There will also be updates and interactive sessions with the Biosphere team, and time allocated for networking. The event will close with a special screening of our documentary short film, 'Heart of the Biosphere - A Year in the Life of Silver Flowe & Merrick-Kells'.
A soup-and-bread lunch is included plus teas, coffees and biscuits through the day.
Tickets are free but we have a Donation Ticket option on the booking page, and we are grateful for any and all contributions. These help our charity sustain its work across SW Scotland's UNESCO Biosphere.
For accessibility information please visit the venue's own website: OLD SCHOOL THORNHILL
Please arrive from 10:15am in order that we can start promptly. The main agenda will conclude at 2:10pm but anyone who wishes to stay a little longer can enjoy the screening of our film 'Heart of the Biosphere'. The event will close completely at 2:30pm.
