Come and unleash your creativity for a day as you learn from local photographer William Niven the photographic process of cyanotype printmaking. No experience needed.
Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography. The distinctive feature of the print is its shade of cyan blue.
We will spend the day experimenting with making our own prints from found objects foraged from the grounds of Shambellie House (no camera equipment is needed, just your creative minds).
All materials are provided for you but please feel free to bring objects to create cyanotypes with – objects that are flat and small tend to work best.
